Spent or Spending by Category
Use the chart summary to see which categories make up spending for the selected account and time range.
See spending by category
Use the category summary when you want a quick breakdown of where money is going for the current view.
- Open the account you want to review, or switch to All Accounts.
- Choose the forecast range or history period you want to inspect.
- Tap the pie chart / summary icon above the graph.
- Review the category totals for the current account, range, and filters.
What the totals mean
The summary reflects the view you are already looking at. If you are on one account, it summarizes that account. If you are on All Accounts, it summarizes the visible accounts together.
Turn on Past/History when you want to review spending that already happened. Stay in Forecast when you want to review upcoming planned spending.
Narrow the view
- Change the account to focus on one account or all visible accounts.
- Change the range to compare a shorter or longer period.
- Use filters when you only want certain accounts, categories, or matching items included.
Tip: Category summaries are a quick review tool. They do not change your forecast or account balances.
